Auckland

Wow, what an exhausting and exciting 36 Hours.
Our flights and travel arrangements so far have all been executed perfectly, bar the departing flight from Melbourne which was delayed by 1 hour. Although, we didn’t mind as it gave us an opportunity to play with our new toy. The Canon eos 700 d. Here’s what we saw of Melbourne Airport. Lights.

Auckland is quite a beautiful city. I can’t say the same for our first Hotel. Regardless of the fact that the room size was 2 cubic feet and we had to remove the toilet paper roll from the holder to take a shower it was a comfortable stay and just what we needed after 12 hours of walking. In fact we probably would have fallen asleep on a bed of nails.

In that 12 hours we visited the Harbour, the Auckland Domain Parks, Skytower twice and every shop on Queen Street looking for a second camera. After 1 day, we mutually discovered our inner selfishness and decided that sharing a camera was just no fun at all. So now we have 2.

Auckland was very green and our calve muscles witnessed first hand the hilly landscape as we tracked from one side of the city to the other. There was a lot of beautiful old architecture which had been well maintained and gave the city some extra charm. When looking over the city from the Skytower, we were surprised at how much area the city covered. We just couldn’t shake the feeling we were in any Aussie City.

Here’s some more interesting photos with less lights. Enjoy!!
